In 2024 I got invited by artist Annemieke Louwerens to exhibit together with her at the Gallery WESTEND in Den Haag. We spent time in her studio and explored the overlapping and intersection in our practices. We both have a strong interest in working with peripheral potentials of materials and took this opportunity to place our common interest in the center of the exhibition. In What's left when it's left over our works form relations, links and holding structures as an invitation to observe not only the material properties but also the space in-between, the hypothetical variations and details that emerge when the outlines and contours are extending and being formed by the poetic of an encounter.

CIRRENDERING is a sound research project by Josephine Stamer and Martin Sieweke and consists of a former vinyl player reduced to its basic operation. Amplified structures, alterations and repetitive textures will dissolve over time, as emerging traces are finding their multidirectional and conversational negotiation in a circular and sonic form.
